Northside system receives multiple awards for quality cardiovascular and stroke care

"These recognitions give us an opportunity to highlight the incredible teams behind our heart, stroke and emergency services,” said Ben Holland, vice president of Northside Hospital Heart Institute. “I couldn’t be more proud of the work they do to improve standards of care and outcomes for heart attack, heart failure and stroke patients at Northside.” 

Northside Hospital has one of the most comprehensive cardiovascular programs in Georgia, offering a wide range of diagnostic, treatment and support services for heart and vascular patients including PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) for STEMI (ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction). 

A team of board-certified cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, and vascular surgeons — working alongside specially trained cardiovascular nurses and technologists — deliver more than diagnosis and treatment expertise. They collaborate with Northside’s Emergency Departments and local EMS to make sure that Northside patients get the care that they need as quickly as possible.
