Self-Care for New Moms During the Pandemic

  1. Be gentle with yourself and the expectations you have of yourself and others.
  2. Limit your intake of news.
  3. If possible, spend some time on a porch, in the back yard, a balcony, or wherever you can safely expose yourself to sunshine.
  4. Seek reassurance from the people in your life that are supportive. It is ok to set limits and avoid those people who are not.
  5. Stay connected with others. Attend an online mom support group like one through Postpartum Support International.
