WSB-TV: Mom, nurse who lost son to drowning wants to spread word about water safety

A Gwinnett County mother who lost her son after he drowned hopes to save other children’s lives.

Madison Morgan’s 17-month old son, JJ Yun, climbed into a large flower pot at his grandparents house and drowned.

A year after her son’s death, Morgan returns to the ER to meet the medical team that tried to save her son’s life.

Morgan is a nurse at Northside Gwinnett and she was on duty when she got the call that her son was being rushed to the ER just downstairs.

Channel 2′s Tony Thomas spoke with Morgan at the Lawrenceville ER and she has a message for others.
