Northside Hospital Heart Institute is pleased to announce two new additions to its team
of expertly trained cardiac surgeons.
Drs. A. Dan Winston and James Alan Wolfe joined Northside Cardiac Surgeons in October.
Dr. Dan Winston is a board-certified cardiothoracic and general surgeon. His clinical interests include heart surgery, thoracic surgery, valve surgery replacement and reconstruction, minimally invasive valve reconstruction, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement, MitraClip and Port Access, surgical coronary revascularization, aortic aneurysms, valve surgery, and complex re-operative surgery.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Winston is thrilled to be a part of such a great team at Northside Hospital Heart Institute.
“My philosophy of care is listening carefully to my patients, showing respect and taking care of each of their needs on an individual basis,” Dr. Winston said. “It’s very important for me to treat my patients just as if they were my own family member.
Dr. Alan Wolfe is a board-certified cardiothoracic and general surgeon. His areas of clinical interest include acquired adult heart disease, with emphasis on minimally invasive port-access valve surgery, coronary bypass surgery,
aortic and mitral valve reconstruction, aortic root and aortic arch pathology reconstruction, percutaneous aortic valve replacement, and transcatheter MitraClip valve procedures.
“It is important for me to provide patients and families a thorough explanation of the pathophysiology of their disease process to allow for ideal outcomes after each surgical procedure,” said Dr. Wolfe.
Dr. Wolfe brings with him over 30 years of experience.
