Georgia Cancer Specialists welcomes Dr. Joan Cain in Midtown Atlanta and Fayetteville.
Dr. Cain is board certified in medical oncology with a master’s degree in clinical research. With over 10 years of experience in the Atlanta area, she treats all forms of cancer and has an extensive history of managing gynecologic oncology patients with advanced ovarian, uterine and cervical cancer. Additionally, she was a part of several disease-specific clinics, which provided her with the knowledge of how to best enhance the patient experience, as well as improve patient outcomes associated with cancer care.

Northside Hospital Heart Institute welcomes Dr. Lourens Willekes, II in Lawrenceville.
Dr. Willekes has experience with some of the most complex cardiac cases and brings more than 20 years of experience and clinical expertise to the Northside program. He is an expert in the most advanced forms of cardiac surgery, which encompass coronary artery bypass grafting (open-heart surgery), valvular heart disease and aortic disease (aneurysms/dissections), as well as cardiopulmonary assist devices and surgical diseases of the lungs.
