Northside expands cancer network with a new radiation oncology center in South Atlanta
Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology - South Atlanta is located at 791 Oak Street, Atlanta, GA 30354.
Dr. Mark McCord with Atlanta Oncology Associates began seeing patients at the new location on June 12.
The new center offers advanced cancer treatment technology including external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), intracavitary and interstitial radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and treatment planning. A wide range of cancers can be treated with radiation therapy including prostate, breast, colorectal, gynecologic, head and neck, melanoma, brain, and sarcoma. A linear accelerator with stereotactic ability allow physicians to treat small tumors with unprecedented precision, whether they are in the body or the brain.
With the new South Atlanta location, Northside now offers radiation oncology at 12 locations across Georgia — in Alpharetta, Atlanta, Canton, Cumming, Greensboro (Lake Oconee), Hawkinsville, Lawrenceville, Macon, Midtown and Sandy Springs.

Dr. Barbara R. Henley joins Northside Center for Urogynecology
Northside Center for Urogynecology welcomes Dr. Barbara R. Henley to its Atlanta office. She began seeing patients on June 12.
Dr. Henley is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Her expertise includes the treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as prolapse, urinary and bowel incontinence, recurrent UTIs, hematuria, and bladder pain. She specializes in vaginal and robotic surgery, intravesical Botox for overactive bladder, and sacroneuromodulation for urinary and bowel incontinence.

Surgical Specialists of Atlanta opens new Smyrna office
The physicians of Surgical Specialists of Atlanta are now seeing patients in a new office in the Northside Medical Cumberland building, located at 4298 Atlanta Road SE, Suite 320, Smyrna, GA 30080.
Drs. Mariam Ali-Mucheru, Michael Genz and Janine Pettiford began seeing patients at the new office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning May 16.
