Northside Hospital had four New Year’s babies on the first morning of 2024. 


Weston Ford was the first baby born in metro Atlanta, making his debut 12 minutes after midnight Monday, Jan. 1, at Northside Hospital Forsyth

Weston is the first child of Meagan and Chris Ford of Alpharetta. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces. 

“This is a memorable first birth experience, for sure!” Meagan said. 

 


Ajani Genesis Scott-Cook Green arrived at 1:03 a.m. to become the first baby of the year at Northside Hospital Gwinnett.

Ajani was born to Maci Scott and Ty Cook Green, both of Lawrenceville. He weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces, and measured 18 inches. 

Maci, a first-time mom, said she was excited. 

“This is a special baby – a beautiful baby to a beautiful year and many more,” she said. “This set the tone to believe in great things that are on its way.” 


The first baby at Northside Hospital Atlanta was a baby girl born to Shikha Goel and Dhruv Goyal of Cumming at 1:12 a.m. The infant weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and measured 19 1/4 inches. 

Shikha said she feels “blessed and happy” and called it the “best New Year’s gift ever.” 

“I’m really thankful to Northside Hospital for giving us the best gift of our life,” she said.
