A national survey tagged Northside Hospital Cherokee as one of the nation’s most beautiful hospitals.
Northside Cherokee ranked No. 13 in the Soliant Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals contest. The annual contest aims to recognize hospitals across the nation for their facility design, aesthetics, comforting staff and patient experience by asking the public to nominate and vote on the facilities where they have had great experiences.
“We are so proud to be recognized as one of the most beautiful hospitals in the country,” Billy Hayes, CEO of Northside Cherokee, said.
“Northside Cherokee is a beautiful facility, and we have an incredible staff who are dedicated to providing our patients with an exceptional experience. It’s gratifying to see their hard work acknowledged.”
The Northside Cherokee campus opened in 2017, near the intersection of Interstate 575 and Georgia 20. Since the new hospital opened, the number of beds has more than tripled, to 332.
With more than 1.44 million votes cast for the more than 80 hospitals nominated, Northside Cherokee emerged as one of the top 20 facilities recognized by supporters on Soliant’s annual list.
“I would like to express my appreciation and congratulations to the hospitals that made it to this year’s list of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals,” said David Alexander, CEO of Soliant.
“These facilities recognize that the beauty of a hospital is deeper than just appearance — that it also includes well-designed, functional infrastructure and a nurturing staff that is devoted to cultivating a safe and comfortable space for patients to properly heal. For these reasons, they very much deserve this distinction.”
Northside Cherokee has more than 3,800 employees and nearly 1,400 physicians, plus nearly 240 volunteers. The hospital is one of the largest private employers in Cherokee County.
