Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute
Northside Hospital Gwinnett has redeveloped its dedicated orthopedic trauma service as of Tuesday, Oct. 1, providing an enhanced option for people with orthopedic injuries. Dr. Adam Boissonneault and Dr. Michael Maceroli lead the program. Their practice, Orthopedic Trauma Specialists, is located at 631 Professional Drive, Suite 170, Lawrenceville. Dr. Rachel Kushner has joined Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute – Sports Medicine. She is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and sees patients at Northside Medical Buford. More: sports medicine.northside.com.
Three providers joined the Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute Total Joint Program.
- Dr. Alexis Alva is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery. She sees patients in Buford and Lawrenceville.
- Dr. Everett Young is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in adult reconstructive surgery. He sees patients in Athens.
- David Joslyn, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with specialized expertise in orthopedic surgery.
Northside Hospital Primary care

The American Academy of Family Physicians presented Dr. Heather Dill with the Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education, one of 12 family medicine residents around the nation honored. Dr. Dill practices at Northside Gwinnett Family Medicine in Lawrenceville and is part of the Graduate Medical Education program at Northside Hospital Gwinnett.

Gwinnett Surgical Specialists' Dr. Venkata Kakarla has performed his 2,000th robotic surgery. Dr. Kakarla is fellowship trained in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
