Nicole Danell Williamson began losing weight suddenly in the fall of 2019 and was concerned it wasn’t a healthy weight loss. She saw a gastroenterologist, Dr. Dimple Raina, who performed a colonoscopy which revealed a large tumor — eventually leading oncologist Dr. Karthi Subbannan to diagnosis Nicole with stage 4 colon cancer.
Within weeks, she began chemotherapy with Georgia Cancer Specialists.
“I just love the nurses, the doctors — everybody was wonderful,” Nicole said. “Actually, I’ve never had a bad nurse or doctor in the three years I’ve been going through this, so I feel blessed. … It’s been a journey and I love Northside. I wouldn’t use any other hospital because they really take good care of me.”
While she continues her health journey, Nicole enjoys time with her family, 26-year-old twins Brazil and London, and 2-year-old granddaughter Meadow Sofia.
