For more than 20 years, Northside Hospital has been a supporter of MUST Ministries.
That support has helped get medical care to people in Cherokee and Cobb counties and provided shelter to the homeless.
“Northside has helped with the Donation Center, and with construction of the homeless shelter, and assisted with medical care for people in need in the community,” said Ike Reighard, D.Min., president and CEO of MUST Ministries.
The Rev. Wayne Williams started the first programs of MUST Ministries in 1971 — a grocery bus ministry for senior citizens, a youth tutoring program and outreach ministries to young people. In more than 50 years since then, more than 17,000 volunteers have carried out the mission of MUST Ministries in Georgia.
Northside Hospital is a sponsor of the Donation Center at 1280 Field Parkway in Marietta.
“Not only have you supported us financially in so many ways, but Mr. (Billy) Hayes (CEO of Northside Hospital Cherokee) and that amazing team of people at Northside come to our golf tournaments,” Reighard said. “They’re at our galas. They’re at the Gobble Jog, which is our largest fundraiser with over 10,000 runners who gather on the Marietta Square.
“This past year, we served over 70,000 of our neighbors in need. You help us in all of these different ways, helping us with our homeless shelter, where you provided space for us to be able to provide medical care.”
