Northside's Emergency Services Departments provide high-quality and compassionate care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Some hospitals rotate staff with various specialists to work in the ER. Northside’s is staffed with doctors, who are board-certified emergency physicians, and nurses, who are trained and credentialed in adult and pediatric emergency care. Our emergency services team is committed to providing you the highest level of care in a safe and comfortable environment. Using the latest monitoring and imaging equipment, we provide stabilization and treatment of all conditions including PCI intervention for patients experiencing heart attacks.
(Atlanta, Cherokee, Duluth, Forsyth, and Gwinnett)
Each location offers private patient triage areas and comfortable treatment rooms. Patients benefit from little to no waiting room wait times, with most patients seeing an emergency provider within 30 minutes of arrival.
Many of our emergency service patients are treated and discharged, often in less than two hours. Your ER doctor may tell you to 'follow-up' with your regular doctor or you may need to be admitted to the hospital or surgery. Our friendly, compassionate staff communicates with your friends and family, as available on your progress, diagnosis and treatment.
With this service, patients with less severe injuries (once triaged) are seen by a registered nurse, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, making the visit easier and faster.
Understanding your options and having a plan of action before an emergency occurs is instrumental in reducing the amount of time it takes to get help.
