The award is presented monthly at each of Northside’s five hospitals to nurses who:
- Listened to patient and family questions/needs and responded with compassion and kindness
- Made a special connection with the patient and family
- Built a trusting relationship with the patient and family
- Went above and beyond to make patient and family feel comfortable
- Communicated clearly and effectively with patient and family
- Has significantly "made a difference" in the life of a patient
